Welcome to Beyond Borders Therapy (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website at beyondborderstherapy.com and any related services, including online therapy sessions provided through our secure virtual platform.

By using our website or booking a session, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with booking or using our services.

Services We Offer

We provide online therapy services, including:

  • A free initial consultation is bookable instantly via our website, subject to communication between the potential client and therapist. The therapist has the right to refuse a consultation.

  • Scheduled video sessions via secure platforms.

    All services are provided by licensed professionals and are not a substitute for emergency or crisis care.

Detailed Service Information

  • All consultations and sessions are conducted online using a secure platform agreed upon at booking.

  • Standard session duration is [50 minutes], unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Fees for paid sessions will be clearly communicated at the time of booking and are due before the session, unless alternative arrangements are made.

Client Eligibility & Registration

  • Clients must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

  • Accurate personal information must be provided during booking and communication, including names and ages.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

To set clear expectations regarding cancellations or changes:

  • Free consultation: May be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.

  • Paid sessions: Reschedule or cancel at least 24-48 hours in advance to receive a full refund or to reschedule.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable.

  • Missed sessions without prior notice are charged in full.

  • If we must cancel a session on our end (e.g., due to illness or technical issues), you will be offered a full refund or an opportunity to reschedule.

Client Responsibilities & Expectations

Clients agree to:

  • Ensure a stable internet connection and a private, secure environment for therapy sessions.

  • Engage honestly and respectfully in all communications and sessions.

  • Recognize that therapy outcomes vary, and no specific results or guarantees can be promised.

  • To sign a client data form and a Session Policy and Confidentiality document, giving consent to work together and agreement of terms of service, which will be data protected according to GDPR compliance(see below)

Beyond Borders Therapy is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Personal Data Collected: We collect only essential information for booking and providing therapy services, such as your name, contact details, and relevant clinical information.

  • How We Use Data: Personal data is used strictly for delivering therapy services, administrative purposes, and legal compliance.

  • Confidentiality: Session content is confidential unless disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).
